depotting NYX trios....uugghh

I didn't have great success depotting my NXY trio eyeshadows, except for the frustration!! I used a knife to pry the heated pans out of the plastic and somewhat successfully depotted 10 out of 12. I totally destroyed 2. My next problem is that 3-4 of the 10 don't attach to the magnets in my Makeup Stars Haven palette. Help! Has anyone had this problem and any solutions? Thanks so much!
